How to Measure Your Feet for the Right Fit
Finding the right shoe size starts with one simple step: measuring your feet correctly. Foot length can change over time, and sizing may vary between different footwear styles, so we recommend checking your measurement before placing an order.
What You’ll Need
You only need a few simple items:
• A sheet of paper
• A pen or pencil
• A ruler or measuring tape
• A flat wall
• The socks you plan to wear with your shoes
Step 1: Place Your Foot on Paper
Place the sheet of paper on a flat floor with one edge against the wall. Stand naturally with your heel touching the wall. Keep your weight evenly balanced for the most accurate measurement.
Step 2: Mark the Longest Point
Use a pen or pencil to mark the longest point of your foot. For most people, this is the big toe, but for some it may be the second toe.
Step 3: Measure the Length
Measure from the edge of the paper at the heel to the mark at the longest toe. This number is your foot length.
Step 4: Measure Both Feet
It is common for one foot to be slightly longer than the other. Always use the longer foot measurement when choosing your size.
Step 5: Compare With the Size Guide
Once you have your foot length, compare it with the product size chart. If you are between two sizes, consider the type of footwear:
• For boots or winter shoes, choose the larger size if you plan to wear thick socks.
• For sandals and slides, choose the size that feels secure without your foot hanging over the edge.
• For walking shoes, allow a little extra room at the toe for comfort during movement.
Fit Tips From StrideMart
A good fit should feel secure around the heel, comfortable across the widest part of your foot, and roomy enough at the toe. Your toes should not feel squeezed, and your heel should not slip excessively when walking.
If your feet are wide or you prefer a more relaxed fit, choosing one size up may be more comfortable depending on the style.
